School as a Garden
As Boon Lay Garden Primary School, a green campus and sustainable design is a way of life. Beyond the effect of nature on wellbeing, designing our school as a garden nurtures our students as the next generation of eco-stewards who appreciate and contribute towards environmental sustainability.
The Lawn is our school’s eco-hub, where students learn the importance of sustainability through hands-on activities and learn to make a difference for the environment through their daily actions.
The Grow Towers support a modern farming technique through vertical towers, which students experience as part of Project Work, allowing them to appreciate the importance of Food Security and resilience in a land-scarce Singapore as part of SG Green Plan 2030.
The Hydroponics Shed support a water-saving modern farming technique which students experience as part of Project Work, allowing them to appreciate the importance of Food Security and resilience in a water-scarce Singapore as part of SG Green Plan 2030.
The school is designed with lush greenery and foliage to promote a sense of calm and well-being, and an appreciation for the environment.
