BLGPS Parents Support Group (PSG) Motto
For the Love of Our Children

BLGPS Parents Support Group (PSG) plays an important role in promoting and fostering home-school partnership to support the holistic development of BLGians. The committee which was first formed in 1999 also plays a part in establishing and enhancing 2-way communication between school and parents.

This year, the committee has 29 Executive Committee members and 126 active members supporting the school in two main areas: Character Development of Students and as Ambassadors of BLGPS.

PSG Investiture 2020
On 20 January 2020, the school formally welcomed active members of the Parents Support Group (PSG) during the PSG Investiture. Through the event, students were introduced to these members.

Partnering the school


In the first semester, PSG members were involved in several activities of the school. They volunteered their help during the Chinese New Year Celebration, International Friendship Day and Total Defence Day.

During the CNY celebration, parents guided the students in lantern making, Chinese calligraphy and paper cutting.

The PSG organised the International Friendship Day fair. They set up Indonesian and Myanmar booths to allow students to learn the cultures of these countries. Students also had fun trying on ethnic costumes and putting on henna.

On Total Defence Day, PSG members came by to mend the quiz station where they helped to read out the questions and explain the answers.









PSG EXCO bonding activity

This year, our PSG EXCO members tried their hand at canvas painting during their annual bonding session. The members had fun expressing what PSG means to them using canvas and colourful paints.
